Let us tell you where this one started.
Nat's clients already trusted her. That part was never in question.
She turns up to their homes with gentle hands and a calm voice, at the exact moment their pet is stressed and they're worried. The trust was built well before anyone opened a laptop.
The brand just hadn't caught up. Nat had grown past the logo she started with, and it no longer looked like the person showing up at the door.
The brief wasn't "make it prettier." It was "make it match."
Warm in person. Generic on paper.
Vet Nurse Nat provides mobile grooming and in-home pet care, bringing gentle, low-stress veterinary nursing straight to clients across Melbourne. As the business grew, the brand stopped keeping up. It no longer reflected the warmth, professionalism and trust clients felt the moment she walked in.
"I wanted a brand that felt warm, professional and reflected the way I care for people's pets." · Nat
Understanding Nat before touching a single visual
Before any logo sketches, we spent time understanding who Nat was, how she worked, and what her clients remembered about her. Not what a generic vet brand should look like. What this one, specifically, already did right.
Compassion
Gentle handling and genuine care were the qualities clients remembered most.
Professional
The brand needed to build confidence while staying approachable.
Convenience
Providing quality care in a client's own home was a genuine point of difference.
Trust
The identity needed to feel dependable, calm and welcoming from the first glance.
Every decision, tested against one question
Rather than designing around trends, we built the brand around what already mattered to Nat and her clients. Every creative choice got measured against the same line: does this feel like Vet Nurse Nat?
- Warm and approachable
- Builds trust instantly
- Professional without feeling clinical
- Friendly illustration style
- Natural colour palette
- Reflects in-home care, not a clinic
Two directions, one clear winner
Early concepts tested composition, colour, illustration style and supporting elements. The strongest ideas were then refined by introducing Nat herself into the identity, strengthening the brand's personality instead of hiding behind it.
Two refined directions went to the client. A personal direction, placing Nat at the centre of the identity to create an immediate connection. And a service direction, built around mobility, multiple pet types and the broader customer experience.
She chose the personal direction. Trust, it turns out, has a face.
Two logos, one brand
The final identity combined two complementary assets, each built for a different job, so Nat could move across digital and print touchpoints without ever losing consistency.
Built around Nat's own likeness. Chosen for its personal connection and its ability to build trust from the very first impression.
A complementary graphic system supporting service marketing, social media and promotional material, without competing with the primary mark.

Recognisable, before she even says hello
The final identity turned Vet Nurse Nat from a generic veterinary service into a warm, recognisable, approachable personal brand. By putting Nat back into the identity and simplifying the visual language, the brand became more memorable while better reflecting the care she provides.
Not a bigger logo. A truer one.

The best brands don't get invented. They get noticed, then made a little easier to recognise.
